Where to eat and drink in nashville
If you find yourself in Nashville, also known as Music City, you’ll quickly realize that there’s no shortage of fantastic food and drinks to choose from. To make things easier for you, I’ve put together a list of my top 10 favorite spots for eating and drinking in Nashville that you won’t want to miss.
Morning Recommendations
Poindexter Coffee: For a morning pick-me-up, head to Poindexter Coffee located in the lobby of the funky Graduate Nashville hotel. They offer a variety of specialty coffee drinks, as well as a selection of breakfast sandwiches and pastries that you an enjoy in the stadium seating of colorful couches.
Frothy Monkey: With multiple locations throughout Nashville, Frothy Monkey is a go-to spot for coffee, brunch, and lunch. Try their avocado toast or one of their delicious homemade drinks. We arrived by scooter (you can find them everywhere in Nashville!) at 9am and had no problem getting a table, but by 10am there was a wait on a Sunday morning.
Mockingbird: The highlight of the menu for me was cream cheese-scallion stuffed bagel bombs with everything spice. This chic and modern diner is the perfect place to start your morning with a mimosa, bloody mary, or strong coffee!
Liberty Common: Step into Liberty Common and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a Parisian brasserie. This was one of the most beautiful restaurants we visited. They offer a large number of options for brunch, so everyone is your group is sure to find something they will enjoy.
The Hampton Social: The Hampton Social is a multi-story restaurant with a “Rosé All Day” lounge on the first floor and a rooftop with indoor and outdoor seating on the third floor. The first floor is more of a casual restaurant atmosphere for brunch with the rooftop being more lively and a great spot for celebrations.
Afternoon and Evening Recommendations
Pinewood: An easy Uber trip from the downtown area, Pinewood offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also offers six restored bowling lanes. The pool and patio weren’t open when I was there, but don’t miss them if they are open! If you are looking for a place to dine off Broadway, I recommend making a reservation at Pinewood.
Twelve Thirty Club: Twelve Thirty Club has the Honky Tony on the first floor that you can see and hear from Broadway, the Supper Club on the second floor that offers stage side cocktails and an upscale dining experience, and a Rooftop Bar to end your night. We had dinner at the Supper Club and the food and drinks, music, and service were all phenomenal!
Blanco Cocina + Cantina: If you are looking for Mexican food with a great location and a fun vibe *but not too loud*, make a reservation at Blanco Cocina + Cantina. From guacamole to margaritas, this spot has it all.
White Limozeen: Located at the Graduate Nashville, this indoor-outdoor rooftop is the fun spot for a fancy cocktail with a view. The decor consists of all shades of pink, fringe, and an oversized Dolly Parton. Don’t forget to try the champagne jello shots!
Broadway bars: I couldn’t finish this list without including the famous Broadway bars of Music City! Visit Lower Broadway for the ultimate country music experience. There are no cover charges, so don’t be shy about visiting multiple. Most bars also have food, so it makes a great place to grab lunch. My favorite spots include Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and Honky Tonk Central.
My sisters and I had a fantastic time exploring all of the fantastic restaurants and bars in Nashville, and I hope you do too! Here are some of my favorite brunch pictures from our trip.
